Summer 2011 brought big changes to California’s teacher tests! CSET-MS, RICA, and CTEL are now entirely computer-based; CBEST’s computer version is now available year-round; CSET single subject exams are still paper-based but are now offered in the morning sessions. And news is just beginning to appear about the new Mathematics Instruction Authorization Examination for multiple-subject teachers.
That’s a lot of change to digest—for you and for your students.
If you’ve got questions about teacher tests—when they’re given, how they work, how not to let them drag you or your students off course—this is a place to start to find answers.
